Forrest Griffin will finally see action again this time against former middleweight champ Rich "Ace" Franklin. Griffin vs Franklin will be the co-headliner status under an expected title fight between middleweight champ Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort. Watch the fight video:
Before knocking out Chuck Lidell in his recent outing, Franklin dropped two of three with a split-decision defeat to Dan Henderson and a TKO loss to Vitor Belfort. A unanimous-decision win over Wanderlei Silva took place between the two defeats.
Griffin, returns to competition for the first time since a November 2009 split-decision win over Tito Ortiz. The victory came after back-to-back losses to Rashad Evans (in a title fight) and Anderson Silva (who moved up a weight class). "The Ultimate Fighter 1" winner was scheduled to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 114 but backed out after sustaining a shoulder injury.
